Student Art Contest and Internship Applications: Time’s Running Out!
Time’s running out for you to enter the second annual World of Warcraft Student Art Contest! Roll up your sleeves, rev up your creative energy, and get your submissions in by January 15, 2013. Eligible entrants will have a chance to win a grand prize that includes a three-month mentorship with Blizzard artists, one free year of World of Warcraft, a notebook containing an original sketch by a Blizzard artist, and a Blizzard T-shirt (a significant item level upgrade).
From Students to Designers: Winners Spotlight
For a little added inspiration, WoW Insider’s Lisa Poisso spoke to the three previous Student Art Contest winners to find out more about their creative processes, as well as their experiences working at Blizzard Headquarters. That’s right, their pieces were so good that we had to pull each of them in for 2012 summer internships with our artists—an offer beyond what the contest grand prize entailed. Don’t be surprised if you see one or more of these skilled crafters return to Blizzard to kick off their careers!
Check out these exclusive interviews with each winner, including commentary from their mentors on the World of Warcraft art team, and take a look at the design portfolios they’ve been building:
