Li Li Stormstout has explored all the wonders of the Great Turtle, Shen-zin Su, carefully recording each experience in her personal journal. She has also stored letters from her uncle, Chen, between the journal's worn pages—tales of Chen's high adventures throughout the lands of Azeroth. He departed years ago and wrote often of his exploits, but suddenly and without explanation, the letters ceased.
The latest chapter of Li Li’s journal is now live in the new Destination: Pandaria section! Li Li decides to explore the forbidden Pei-Wu Forest, the most dangerous part of the Wandering Isle. What strange and menacing creatures will she encounter there? Will Li Li make it back to the safety of her village in one piece? Read on to find out!
Pandaria is a majestic land of mystery and intrigue. Long has it been shrouded in the mists and relatively untouched . . . until now. To get you better acquainted with this new continent, we’ve pulled out our cameras and snapped a few shots of some of the great points of interest and stunning vistas. We’ve also taken the time to speak to the zone’s designers to ask them questions about the best sites to see, the key storylines you may want to know about, and the creatures you’ll want to meet (or avoid).
We just released the next entry in Li Li’s travel journal. In this chapter, Li Li explores the lands surrounding the Dai-Lo Farmstead. All is not well in the Wandering Isle’s breadbasket, however: a band of hozen has been stealing food from the farmers! How will Li Li resolve this situation? Read part three of Li Li’s journal and find out!
The second part of Li Li’s travel journal is now available for your reading pleasure! In this entry Li Li ventures into the Dawning Valley, where she meets followers of two very different pandaren philosophies: the Tushui way, and the Huojin way. What ways of life do these schools of thought represent, and how do the pandaren apply them in their daily affairs? You will have to read part 2 of Li Li’s travel journal to find the answer to that question!
We’ve just unveiled plans for several official global launch events celebrating the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Long ago, the legendary explorer Liu Lang set out from Pandaria with a turtle named Shen-zin Su. His tales inspired others to join him in his journey, and over thousands of years, the turtle grew into the vast Wandering Isle, which continues to roam the oceans, carrying an entire community of like-minded adventurers on its back.
